Of course, I'm going to test it when it's windy out and that will tell if it is really warm. I normally wear a medium but ordered the large so I could wear another jacket under it if it's not as warm as the ad states. I tested this with a lighter weight jacket underneath and it still fits fine and is not bulky. I love the 'nonweight' feature as opposed to my bulky down coat and my 'camo' gear. The latter 2 use high-end Primaloft insulation. As much as I like the goose-down coat it does not do well in the pouring rain and I have gotten caught out where it was cold and dry and then went to cold and very wet. So, I wanted some combination of the length of the Eddie Bauer but with a more water-resistant insulation, which is why I bought the Storm Logic Coat.I ordered the wine color in my usual coat size. I chose wine just so that I'd have a winter coat that wasn't black. The first important feature is that this is cut with movement space in the shoulder and the arm pits. It fits well and doesn't look bulky but it does allow it slip easily over a thcker fleece or sweater. The internal waist cinch is also nice.
