They are well made and all the little R2-D2 details are sewn on well. The back of the shoes say "Star Wars" in the font from the movie logo. My husband found these and fell in love instantly. I was a bit worried that the metallic paint might peal off the shoe, but actually most of the shoe is a white non-metallic paint. Only one band around the middle is metallic silver. Since the front and the back of the shoes are in two separate pieces that flex separately, the metallic paint seems to be holding up okay so far. I'll update my review if that changes. Overall they're a great shoe and they receive a lot of fun comments when my son wears them.
